Enhancing My Website’s SEO with ChatGPT and SEO Core AI

In today’s digital landscape, maintaining a robust online presence is vital for businesses of all sizes. A key component of this is Search Engine Optimization (SEO), which enhances a website’s visibility on search engines like Google and Bing. Recently, I wanted to test out some of the plugin features with paid chat gpt 4 to see how it worked and test my new website out.  As I had switched servers I wanted to make sure I had installed all the appropriate extras to enhance my site fully.  I undertook the task of improving my website, www.LeslieMLyon.com, using OpenAI’s ChatGPT and SEO Core AI.

Here’s a step-by-step account of my journey of course once I had installed the SEO Core AI application to Chat GPT.

Step 1: SEO Analysis with ChatGPT and SEO Core AI

The initial step involved conducting an SEO analysis of my website. For this, I utilized ChatGPT, in combination with SEO Core AI, a tool that offers data for analyzing and comparing SEO and content from a webpage.

Here’s a screenshot of what that plug in looks like installed and ready to pull the trigger on my numerous questions!

SEO Analysis with ChatGPT and SEO Core AI

I requested  that ChatGPT to analyze my website and identify key elements to enhance SEO and rankings. The AI then employed the SEO Core AI plugin to perform a comprehensive analysis of my website, examining aspects such as load speed, title tag, meta description, headers, content, sitemap, robots.txt, site and page authority, and focus keyword.

Step 2: Deciphering the Analysis

The analysis provided by ChatGPT and SEO Core AI was thorough and insightful. It revealed that while my website was well-structured and contained a substantial amount of content, it could benefit from keyword optimization. The load speed was slightly slow- (definitely need to add some to my server options for this simple fix), and the site and page authority scores were low. Likely because it is less than a month old and backlinks along with google indexing take a little bit of time.

Step 3: Determining a Focus Keyword

Based on the content on my website, ChatGPT suggested several focus keywords related to my business, such as “Social Media Marketing Services” and “Lead Generation Services”. The focus keyword is crucial as it should be incorporated into the title tag, meta description, headers, and content to enhance SEO.

Step 4: Implementing the Changes

With the focus keyword identified, the next step was to implement the changes. ChatGPT provided detailed instructions on where to place the keywords for SEO, including in the title tag, meta description, headers, body content, URL, and alt text for images.

For instance, the HTML for the title tag was updated to include the focus keyword, like this:

html

Copy code

<head>

<title>Social Media Marketing Services – Leslie M Lyon</title>

</head>

Step 5: Utilizing a WordPress Plugin for SEO

Note: this is a very simplified respond to what was actually given I am just brushing the surface of this to give you the courage to try it out for yourself! Also I spent more time detailing what I did in this post than I actually did on my time in ChatGPT.

Since my website is built on WordPress, I use the Rank Math plugin to manage SEO elements such as title tags, meta descriptions, and more. Rank Math provides a user-friendly interface where you can set your focus keyword, edit the SEO title and meta description for each page, and get feedback on how well your content is optimized for your focus keyword.

Conclusion

Improving the SEO of a website is a continuous process, but with tools like ChatGPT and SEO Core AI, it becomes much more manageable. These tools offer valuable insights and recommendations that can significantly enhance your website’s visibility on search engines.

While this journey has been enlightening and productive, it’s just the beginning. I find the most amazing data allows me to engage and learn things in the past I would have been absolutely bored out of my mind to learn.

I also think that it is relevant to note- I prefer to pay for experts to do things I am not fully in my zone on.! The amount of time it would require for me to be an expert website builder is better spent in me working in my genius so I hire well trained and educated website builders to work with my company to ensure my site and my clients site’s are in excellent health.  However, these tools allow us to follow up in ways we have not been able to in the past as business owners.  In the past we pay for someone to build our site and we hope they know what they are doing but it would take a significant amount of time to see the results or lack of results.

I love digging into my clients’ or even potential clients socials and websites and either providing new sites or optimizing their current sites for huge results. I also believe in sharing how and why we do what we do.  There are thousands of ways to build trust with clients but I believe sharing results with clients and colleagues to be the most authentic for myself.

We now have the tools at hand to follow up on our projects, our clients projects and create a solid basis for accountability and benchmarks to meet within our company and for our clients.  I for one find that exciting and liberating!
