I spent the last two weeks in Colorado, and my grandson Liam turned one. One! I got to celebrate with his parents, Dalton and Bella, who are doing this whole thing so beautifully it makes me a little emotional to watch. He is so grown already. He is quite literally one of the most adorable babies I have ever seen. Truly, not just because I am his gma. He got the genetic lottery.

Same trip, my son Walker turned 22. And here is the news I cannot stop grinning about: Walker and his partner Savannah are going to be parents this year. My baby is about to have a baby. That will be my tenth grandbaby, a boy. The boys are now at four, the girls at six. We were due for some girl energy in this family, but boys are always welcome.

I also went back for the last of my belongings, because somewhere in the middle of all of this I moved to South Carolina and had not finished packing up my old life. So the trip was part celebration, part goodbye, all love, as per usual. I do most of life heart forward.

Here is the part I did not plan. It was meant to be pure pleasure, and it mostly was. But I still stopped to see three clients along the way, and a long-distance client happened to be in Colorado at the same time, so we connected too. A lot of my clients are long-time relationships built over years. We end up sharing a lot of life together, and it is always a joy to be together in real life.
